HOW WE HELP YOU COMPLY

As a value added service to our clients, we verify your shipments and request additional information from you when necessary to ensure that you are exercising reasonable care as an importer. We use our expertise as a licensed customs broker to verify:

  1. HTSUS classification.

  2. The value.

  3. The country of origin.

  4. Number of bundles, weight, trailer number/plates.

  5. Any additional import requirement based on the HTSUS number like FCC, FDA, Steel license, etc.

TRANSMITTING PAPERWORK EFFICIENTLY

In order to provide you with our best rates, we ask that you please observe the following recommendations to help keep us efficient:

 

  1. Please send all relevant documents at one time via a single email. (Letter of instruction, invoice, packing list, NAFTA certificate, etc.). Multiple emails with duplicate or partial documents take us longer to process.

  2. Please use a unique email subject line (for example, “Invoice No / Trailer No.”) This allows us to process and clear your shipment quickly and efficiently. Whatever unique subject you decide, please use it consistently. We find it is best to avoid generic descriptions such as “another shipment” or “auto parts.”

  3. Please include us only in emails that are addressed to us and pertain to us.  It takes us time to review multiple emails only to find out that they do not pertain to us. By sending us only emails that are we need helps us clear your shipments quicker.

  4. To request expedited service after hours or on weekends, please include the word OVERTIME as the first word in the subject of the email. For example, “OVERTIME Invoice No / Trailer No.”. We will confirm receipt of each overtime request via email. Please call us at our after hours telephone number if you do not receive a confirmation of your overtime request.

EMAIL COMMUNICATIONS PREFERRED

Many matters can be handled quickly and efficiently by email. It is more productive to handle routine matters by email as opposed to telephone calls or personal visits because it saves each of us time.  In the event you need to speak to us by telephone or in person, please feel free to do so. All of our bills and supporting documents will be send electronically via email.

HOURS OF OPERATION; OVERTIME

Our office is open Monday through Friday from 9:00am to 6:00pm, except holidays in which U.S. Customs and/or Mexican customs is closed. While we will do our best to process all shipments the same day, we can only guarantee to process shipments received before 5:00pm. 

Paperwork for shipments received after 6:00pm or on weekends may be processed the next business day unless overtime service is requested.  To request overtime service, simply include “OVERTIME” as the first word in the subject of the email.
